Third times a charm! Making his third start for Southern
California's leading trainer John Sadler, Congo King
wins the $52,000 allowance event. Although he placed in
graded stakes multiple times in his career, Congo King
returned to the winner's circle for the first time in 29
months. Going 6.5 furlongs on the downhill turf course
at Santa Anita Congo King stop the clocked in an
impressive 1:12 2/5. Leading jockey Garrett Gomez was
aboard for the victory as Congo King earned $31,200 and
pushed his career earnings above $123,000.

Tony Lantana cruises to 3rd career victory. After
breaking good Tony Lantana was unhurried and stalked
comfortably before making a strong big for the lead at
the top of the stretch. Once taking the lead Tony
Lantana drew clear to win by more then 3 lengths. It was
his second victory at the Finger Lakes Race track in the
claiming condition. Jockey Elaine Castillo was up for
the win for leading trainer Chris Englehart.

In an effort to make it two wins in a row, Tony Lantana
broke sharp from the 5 hole and was never far back
tracking the leaders five wide through the first half
mile of the race. At the top of the stretch the son of
Tiger Ridge made a five wide move gaining on the leaders
in the stretch to finish a hard fought 2nd, one and a
quarter length behind the winner Sir Knight Shot.

Tony Lantana wins! Breaking from the eight hole Tony
Lantana needed every bit of ground going the mile and 70
yards to nip the leaders at the wire. Tony Lantana
broke six wide on the first turn and stayed wide through
the first six furlongs of the conditional claiming event
at the Finger Lakes. The 4 year old son of Tiger Ridge
managed to get to the rail where he launched a
determined move in the final yards of the race to win by
a head. With Jockey Daniel Morales aboard for trainer
Chris Engelhart Tony Lantana won for the second time in
his career.

In his first start for Finger Lakes leading trainer
Chril Engelhart, Tony Lantana finished a game 4th.
Breaking widest of them all from the ten hole in the
claiming event at the Finger Lakes Racetrack, Tony
Lantana broke clear and sat 6 lengths off the pace in
the early going before lodging a bid in the stretch.
Tony Lantana lacked room in the final sixteenth of a
mile and was forced to steady. With leading jockey John
Davila Jr. up in the saddle, the colt got bet 1 1/4
lengths.

Sent off as the 3-5 heavy favorite, Congo King finished
a disappointing 5th. Making his first start in almost 60
days in the non winners of a race at Churchill Downs
Congo King broke alert and was a presence early. The
colt remained a factor in the final furlong but
flattened out and was beaten by two lengths. Jockey
Julien Leparoux said Congo King was traveling well until
the far turn when he took a bad step and lost his
motion. The colt did cool out fine and it doesn't seem
to be anything serious.

Red Storm Stable has added another exciting prospect to
its roster! The new runner is a two year old son of El
Corredor out of the Ogygian mare Jin Mill. The colt has
been named El Cesar and remains in training down in
Ocala, Florida at Four Roses Thoroughbreds. According to
President, Anthony L. Gurino, the colt is "one of the
best looking horses we ever purchased at auction. He is
a smooth moving colt with a huge stride and covers a lot
of ground. He has two turns written all over him!" El
Cesar, will remain on the farm for another month or so
before being shipped to Keeneland where he will join the
barn of top conditioner Patrick Biancone.

In making his second start off the 12 month
layoff, Tony Lantana displayed a liking for the turf.
Although the four year old son of Tiger Ridge finished
out of the money, the colt got beat only 5 lengths. Tony
Lantana was checked twice on the backside then made a
determinded move in the stretch but had no where to go
before jockey Rudy Rodriguez snatched him up. The
chestnut NY bred will be pointed to run on the 13th of
June.

With a crowd of more than 110,000 on hand at Churchill
Downs for Kentuck Oaks day, Congo King fought hard for a
3rd place finish in the Grade 3 Aegon Turf Sprint. Congo
King was bumped at the start then settled in off the
pace before launching a bid on the inside. The turf
course was listed as Yielding for the Grade 3 event and
the inside was not desirable. Congo King finished two
lengths behind winner Gaff and three quarters of a
length to runner up Ellwood and Jake. Congo King earned
$16,397 for his third place effort.

The entries for the Aegon Turf Sprint are in! Congo King
drew the 1 hole and is set to challenge some of the top
turf sprinters in the country. The Aegon Turf Sprint is
a Grade 3 worth $150,000 and will be run at 5 furlongs
at historic Churchill Downs in Kentucky. The race is
part of the Kentucky Oaks undercard and will be telecast
on ESPN this Friday May 4th at 3 p.m. EST. Jockey Julien
Leparoux will be back in the saddle for trainer Patrick
Biancone.

NY bred Tony Lantana worked a strong five furlongs this
morning and is nearing his comeback start. The colt has
been off since last May and will make his next start at
Belmont Park. Tony Lantana broke his maiden in his 3rd
career start last April. The colt has 1 win in 4 starts
and has earned $24,460.

Congo King sharp in return! In his first start as a four
year old Congo King steps up to the ambitious challenge
of taking on Graded Stakes horses. Breaking from the
four hole in the Grade III $100,000 Shakertown Stakes,
Congo King ran second beat only a neck. The colt was
positioned 4 wide through the first 3 furlongs, before
making an eight wide move on the outside for the drive.
Congo King hooked up with eventual winner The Ninth
degree in the stretch but couldn’t pass him up getting
beat a neck. They hit the wire in a quick 1:03 4/5 for
5.5 furlongs over a turf course listed as soft. Congo
King earned $22,040 for his second place finish and will
now be pointed to run either Kentucky Oaks Day or
Kentucky Derby Day in a stakes race at Churchill Downs.

Congo King is set to make his return this coming Sunday
at Keeneland Race Course. Congo King will break from the
four hole in the featured Shakertown, a $100,000 Grade 3
going 5.5 furlongs on the grass. The colt will be making
his first start as a four year old and will be making
his first start for new trainer Patrick Biancone. Congo
King has been training strong at Keeneland the past two
months after a brief rest on the farm. Jockey Julien R.
Leparoux will be in the saddle.

After a brief vacation on the farm, Blackjack Rose has rejoined the barn of Jimmy Jerkens. The three year old New York bred filly by Precise End is in training at Belmont Park.

Congo King resumes training. The colt was given a brief rest in Kentucky and is now back in training at Keeneland. The colt has been transferred to trainer Patrick Biancone and will remain in Kentucky for the spring meet.

Early this morning, Red Storm Stable welcomed the newest member to our family. Our six year old mare, Tuesday Prayer had her first foal this morning. Tuesday Prayer, by Holy Bull, foaled a strong handsome colt by Congaree. The colt was born in New York at Edition Farm. Tuesday Prayer carried the colors of Red Storm Stable for two seasons. She earned $78,000 and was stakes placed in NY. The filly suffered a career ending illness training up to the $500,000 Sunshine Millions Turf.

Just eleven days into 2007 and Red Storm Stable saddles its first winner for the New Year! This Is True broke alertly and was hustled to the front to set the pace. The colt clicked off fractions of :22 1/5, :45 4/5 and :58 2/5. Taking the field of non winners of 3 lifetime for $15,000 home in the stretch, the colt fell to second and looked destined for defeat. However trainer Neal Terraciano had the colt well prepared and the gutsy colt dug in gamely to took the lead back in the final 1/16 to win by a neck. With regular rider Rudy Rodriguez up, the colt earned $10,200 for his third career victory.

This Is True broke well from the gate and set the fractions in the NW of 3 Lifetime claiming $25,000 event at Aqueduct. Breaking from the 1 hole the colt took the lead early and led through fractions of :23, :46 2/5 and :58 3/5. The colt looked poised for victory at the top of the stretch but tired in the final 1/16th relinquishing the lead to the winner Cool Springs Saint. This Is True did fight on hard and held second to earn $3,800.

Racing for the first time in a claiming race, Congo King raced evenly and finished 4th. The $50,000 claiming race carried a purse of $39,000. The three year old colt raced three wide in the early stages of the race, then saved ground on the rail but lacked a strong bid in the lane. The colt will be sent to Kentucky for some rest in hopes it will brighten him up.

In only his second career start Red Hot Dawn, carrying the colors of IEAH stables, won going away in the$43,000 Maiden Special Weight at Aqueduct. A two year old son of Red Bullet-Nasranian Devil by Silver Ghost, Red Hot Dawn was bred and raised by Red Storm Stable. Foaled on April 23, 2004 in Kentucky, Red Hot Dawn finished five and a half furlongs in 1:04 4/5 and earned $25,800 for his maiden score.

Battling Rapid Rickey through fractions of :22 3/5 and :45 2/5 This Is True fought hard on the inside before tiring in the stretch. With regular rider Rudy Rodriquez up the colt did hold on for fourth beaten less than two lengths. They completed 6.5 furlongs in 1:19 2/5.

Tony Lantana continues to put on weight as he enjoys his time off on the farm. The three year old NY bred son of Tiger Ridge is expected to resume training in about 30 days. Tony Lantana broke his maiden on April 26th at Aqueduct.

Sent off as the favorite in the Allowance/Optional claiming $75,000 event, Congo King contested the pace before tiring in the stretch to finish fourth. Congo King chased the early fractions of :22 3/5, :45 3/5 and :57 2/5 with Edgar Prado aboard. The colt appeared to be in a good spot as they headed for home, but he tired in the stretch beaten 3 length. The winner Touchdown Kid stopped the clock at 1:09 4/5 for six furlongs. Congo King earned $2,250 for his forth place effort.

Blackjack Rose has arrived safe and sound at her new home at Belmont Park. The two year old filly by Precise End out of the Capote mare Cobey’s girls was previously in Ocala, Florida at the McKathan Brothers training center. The filly is now in the care of top trainer James Jerkens. The filly shipped up safe and sound and is eager to get her racing career under way.

In the first race of the 2006 Aqueduct fall meet, This Is True led every step of the way. The 3 year old colt by Is It True broke the gate and quickly opened a clear lead. The colt set the pace before drawing away to win the claiming event by 7 lengths. Rudy Rodriguez was up for trainer Neil Terracciano. The colt earned $9,000 for his second career win while stopping the clock in 1:12 1/5.

Congo King returns to action! Congo King made his first start in eight months today on opening day at Saratoga Race Course. The handsome three year old son of Horse Chestnut contested a full field of 9 in the $50,000 allowance race for non winners of a race other than maiden or claiming. Congo King broke good and saved ground on the inside through the first 4 furlongs. When they hit the turn Congo King made a determined move from fourth to finish a game and willing second, 2 lengths behind winner Star Dabbler. Congo King finished 8 lengths in front of third place finisher Political Force. They covered seven furlongs in a strong 1:22 4/5.

This Is True is true in win! Making his 3rd career start and breaking from the 7 post, This Is True broke his maiden at Belmont Park. The maiden claiming event was run in 1:12 flat for six furlongs over a track listed as good. The three year old son of Is It True, sat off the pace comfortably before determinedly taking the lead in the stretch to win by a half length over the favorite Boss Zach. Jockey Kent Desormeaux was in the irons for trainer Tom Bush.

Wearing blinkers for the second time, the son of Tiger Ridge broke from the outside and contested the pace before drawing away easily when roused. Tony Lantana stopped the clock at 1:11 3/5 for his maiden score. With jockey Jose Espinoza in the irons the colt bankrolled $24,600 for his first win.

Tony Lantana raced greenly on the inside as he closed through the lane strong on his way to finishing a closing 5th. Jockey Jose Espinoza was up in the saddle for the Colts debut.

The entries for the $200,000 Grade 2 Remsen Stakes are in! Congo King is entered and set to tackle some of the country’s most talented two year olds this Saturday in the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes. The Remsen historically one of the early Triple Crown prep races, is run at 1 1/8 mile. Hall of fame jockey Jerry Bailey gets the call for trainer Richard Dutrow Jr.
